PC Dirt Jump Jam

The leaves are changing colors, It rained all week, the sun decided to hide herself, and there is snow on the peaks of the Park City mountains. This could only mean one thing…the Park City Dirt Jump Jam must have been this weekend. So, the weather wasn’t on our side, and hasn’t been for the past 3 years, but you don’t think we let that stop us from throwing down, do you? Of course not!

Every October Tate Shaw with Park City Recreation, and the following sponsors: Skullcandy, Bern Helmets, Haro, Gravity, Brothers Bikes, White Pine Touring, Silverstar Ski & Spots and of course RED BULL, come together to host the annual Park City Dirt Jump Jam.

Bottom Left: Me in the Red Bull Car
Bottom Right: Me with The Red Bull Girls

Pros like Eric Porter, the Van Dine brothers, Gale Dahlager, and Adam Banton show up. The local crew like Derek Thomson, Bryce Sacks, Skylor Pingree, myself and Enoch Tatton (the owner of Brothers Bikes) do our thing.  Then last but certainly not least, the up and coming kids and young aspiring tykes get their ride on. We cant forget the parents, siblings, girlfriends, and others that come out to support us either. I think this is my favorite event of the year because we all just come together as a bunch of people that simply love to ride. It doesn’t matter if we are pros, or nobodies, we're all out there to just shred and have a good time!

Top Right: Eric Porter
Remember Tate, from my first post? He’s the one with the dopest job ever. You know, the one whose occupation is to run skate camps, dirt jump camps, all kinds of recreational camps and events in Park City. Yeah, he’s also the one that throws the Dirt Jump Jam and gets all these freekin awesome sponsors and riders to show up. Tate Shaw, We salute you!
